When should I refinance?

Quick Answer

Refinancing may make sense when it helps you reach a specific goal: lowering your payment, changing your loan term, removing an eligible mortgage insurance expense, or accessing equity. A lower advertised rate alone does not tell you whether the refinance is worthwhile. I can help compare the new loan’s closing costs, monthly payment, remaining loan balance, and how long you expect to keep the home.

It could make sense to refinance and pay off some of your other debts especially if they have higher interest rates (A lot of credit cards have over 25%) Utilize your equity and stop living paycheck to paycheck. Reach out to me and I can run the numbers to see if it makes sense for you.
